A Love Supreme - Spiritual Jazz
A profound spiritual opportunity for the next 12 days and what Coltrane has to do with Venus and Neptune.
Hello Dear Subscribers,
I love you, I really do. Thanks for investing in my creative and devotional work. It means the world to me and I hope you are nourished in return.
This article explores what I consider to be a profound spiritual opportunity in the next 12 days.
I break down the key dates and share insight on how to work with this as we prepare for imminent waves of major global change and challenge.
Let’s start where we’re at.
Today Neptune, (the higher octave of Venus) and the modern ruler of Pisces is with the Sun at the last degree of the Zodiac, 29 Pisces.
This is illuminates grace as the central light of our universe infuses it’s vitality with the God of transpersonal love. It’s a profoundly creative, sublime energy when we can release control and be present with all the feelings. Grief, awe, reverence, the great mystery.
It’s also the last day of the astrological year as the Sun enters Aries tomorrow marking the spring/autumn equinox. A moment of divine balance between light and dark, a pause between breaths, a great reset indeed.
People complain about Neptune due to the tiredness and fog it can bring, the illusions, immune issues and addictions. I get it, spiritual bypassing is gross and drowning in disconnection sucks. I’m a Capricorn and I LOVE boundaries which are exactly what Neptune dissolves, opening us from fixed states and perceptions into altered states and new dimensions of reality, for better or worse.
But also… Neptune leads us into the ocean of oneness, soaked in the devotional bliss of transpersonal love and pure frequency beyond words.
As the higher octave of Venus, Neptune connects us to something beyond than our worldly desires and into something that can generate true lasting peace.
This is the kind of love John Coltrane was honouring when he wrote the spiritual jazz masterpiece “A Love Supreme”.
Apparently he recorded it in one sitting on a December day in 1964.
This is the kind of channelled, creative magic that Neptune moments can bring when we allow the great mystery to flow with gratitude for the miracle of life.
I want to share an incredible image with you.
Like most Jazz kids Coltrane was into maths.
“At its core, the Coltrane diagram is a circle of fifths – a way of representing the twelve tones of equal temperament in a continuous circle, commonly used in Western music theory (jazz, popular, and classical alike).
What makes Coltrane’s version interesting is the additional layers of annotation – both for what’s immediately revealing, and what’s potentially mysterious.” - https://cdm.link/john-coltrane-mystical-image/
Of course when I look at this being neither very musically or mathematically literate, I just see a 5 pointed Star…the same shape that Venus draws in the sky during her 8 year cycle with the Sun. . . Now we are on to something;
